  • Voice, all skill levels
Over this past year, Ms. Bennett was the guest artist at the Westcott House in Springfield, Oh; Soprano Soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater at St. Brendan the Navigator Church in Hilliard, Oh; Soprano Soloist in Handel’s Messiah at Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church in Huber Heights, Oh; and was the Guest Artist in An Evening of Song at the Cedarville Opera House in Cedarville, Oh. Ms. Bennett has performed with the Dayton Opera Chorus, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Choral Arts of Springfield, the Kettering Civic Band, and the Ohio Lyric Theatre.

In addition, she is an active recitalist and presents at least one recital or concert each year. She continues to hone her craft and further her understanding of the human voice through studying with a technician and coach regularly, and attending live performances and master classes whenever possible. Lesson structure includes time for vocalises (exercises used variously to warm up, train and explore the vocal instrument), music-making (with assigned songs or with music from choir if student requests extra help) and discussion of pertinent information for the day (e.g.—historical context, technique, language/translation). “As long as we live, there is never enough singing.” ~ Martin Luther ~

April is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the studio.

She is also available for lessons in the student’s home.  Please call for availability.
