An active and involved teacher, Jon not only helps students prepare for performances, but focuses on the basic skills needed for students to become better musicians and life-long learners and appreciators of music.

Jon Misere graduated from Cedarville College in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music, emphasis in trumpet. He also did further graduate studies in Education at Cedarville University. While in college, he was an active participant in various music ensembles including Brass Choir, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band and Orchestra. He studied with Charles M. Pagnard of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.

Jon is currently entering his 20th year as a professional music educator, most of which has been spent as a member of the music faculty of Springfield City Schools. During his tenure with the district, he has taught a variety of ensembles and classes ranging from Beginning Band, Junior High and High School Band and Choir, Music Theory, General Music, and International Baccalaureate Program Music Class.

Jon is available on Mondays and Thursdays at the studio.

He is also available for lessons in the student’s home.  Please call for availability.
