Low Brass Lessons

What to Expect

Low Brass lessons are customized to fit the individual needs of our students.  Our expert instructors will teach you the fundamentals using a variety of different methods.

Voice Lessons will include teaching on:

  • Reading music (notes, rhythms, musical terms, etc.)
  • How to hold, assemble, and care for the instrument
  • Correct posture, breathing, and fingering techniques
  • Embouchure development
  • Tone development
  • Reinforce concepts learned in student’s band class (if applicable)
Our low brass teachers are available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Are Low Brass Lessons Right for You?

Low brass lessons are recommended for students ages 10 and up are a great way to build confidence in your instrument. Students younger than 10 should contact the studio for an individual assessment or consider one of our Music for Young Children classes.

Mr. Edwards is an active performing musician who has been teaching upright bass, bass guitar, and all brass instruments for over 40 years. He has been both a studio and an orchestral musician in addition to his teaching experience.

Jon Misere graduated from Cedarville College in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music, emphasis in trumpet. He also did further graduate studies in Education at Cedarville University.

Andrew Whitman received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Mount Union in 2013. He has served as the bass caption head for the Miamisburg High School Marching Band since 2014.
